How far do you run/walk/travel in the GoodLife Fitnes City Chase?
Probably between 10-20km – depending on how much running vs. walking vs. public transit you choose to take.
Do I need to be in good shape?
You don't have to be in good shape at all to have a great experience! Or you can be in great shape and still get a great workout.
Like to run? Then run the whole course and get anywhere from 10-20km under your belt.
Don't like to run? Take public transit and save your legs for the challenges! GoodLife Fitness City Chase has challenges that can be physically exhausting, mentally taxing or just push you out of your comfort zone.
How well do I need to know the city?
It would help! Do some initial research but there's nothing a good smartphone can't handle.
How long does the GoodLife Fitness City Chase last?
Typically, 2-6 hours depending on how you do, but theoretically as long as you want!
The winners will finish close to the 2-hour mark but an average Chaser will usually come in sometime between 4.5 and 5.5 hours.
How do I win the GoodLife Fitness City Chase?
Just show up! Jokes…
Simple – be the first to cross the finish line with a valid Chase Bib containing 10 official ChasePoint stamps and you will be the winner. Prizing details to come.
Alliances? Can teams work together during the event?
Utilizing the aid of other teams or complete strangers throughout the event is encouraged. Some ChasePoints may actually require you to work with the assistance of others in order to complete the challenge.
Can I use something other than my feet, heartbeat and public transit to travel the course?
No! And to be clear, here is a list of specifics you CANNOT use:
- Car, SUV, motorcycle, scooter, ATV, truck, etc.
- Rollerblades, roller skates or a skateboard
- Mountain bikes, dirt bike, BMX bike, BIXI bike, SMART bike, unintelligent bike
- Spaceship or any other rocket propelled items

How much does it cost?
Entry for a team of two into the GoodLife Fitness City Chase Classic is $130-150 CDN.

How old do I have to be to participate in the GoodLife Fitness City Chase?
All Chasers must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the event.

Can the registration fee be refunded?
Your registration is NON-REFUNDABLE. Entries may be transferred to a different event ONLY up until 30 days prior to the event you have registered for. Within 30 days of the event there are NO TRANSFERS! If a member of the team is unable to attend, a replacement teammate may be selected up until 12pm the day before the event (please contact the City Guru for transfers at email@example.com or simply ensure that the registration check- in form is accurate on Chase Day.
Is there a preset course the participants need to follow in the GoodLife Fitness City Chase?
Nope! GoodLife Fitness City Chase is like a choose-your-own-adventure book… You get clues to various locations throughout the city and then you design your own course from there! You get the credit for the win or the blame for the mistakes!
What happens if there is a line up?
As we all experience in the morning on the highway, public transit or streets, line-ups are part of life, so get over it!
However, to do well in the GoodLife Fitness City Chase you must always be one step ahead… Which ChasePoints do you think will be most popular or visited? Which route do you think is the most likely to be used? If you get to a ChasePoint with a line, there might be a clue to a nearby ChasePoint on Facebook or Twitter.
Do we have to eat gross food?
To officially complete the GoodLife Fitness City Chase you must complete only 10 of the ChasePoints available. It is up to you which ChasePoints you complete, and in which order you do them. Some ChasePoints just might have gross food at them! Choose wisely…
